You can delete text content and images from your content library in Survey Manager when they're no longer in use. The platform checks dependencies before allowing deletion. For text content, it checks questionnaire usage. For images, it checks whether they're part of any theme. Either way, you'll get a clear message telling you what to remove first.
- Clean up your content library without accidentally breaking questionnaires or themes
- Understand exactly where each item is in use before making changes
- Confirm before deleting anything permanently
How to Delete Text Content or an Image
- Find the text content or image you want to delete in your content library.
- Click the three-dots menu next to it.
- Select Delete.
- If deletion is blocked, follow the instructions in the message before trying again.
- If there are no dependencies, confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.
Note: Deletion is permanent. Once confirmed, the item can't be recovered.
When Deletion Is Blocked
Text content: A text item can't be deleted while it's used in one or more questionnaires. The blocking message shows the text name at the bottom. Click Edit on the item, then go to Usage to see which questionnaires include it. Remove the text from all of them, then delete it.
Images: An image can't be deleted while it's used in one or more themes. The blocking message shows the image name in the title. Click Usage to see which themes include it. Remove the image from all of them, then delete it.
