If you’ve noticed a difference in the number of reviews displayed between your Inbox and Insights dashboards, don’t worry—this is completely normal! The variation happens because of the way time zones are used in each section of the platform.
Inbox: Aligned with your local time zone
Your Inbox operates based on your local time zone, meaning the dates and times of reviews match the time zone from which you’re accessing the tool. This ensures a more accurate and seamless experience, as it aligns with the timestamps from online sources or the exact moment a TrustYou Survey was submitted.
Insights dashboards: Standardized with UTC
To maintain consistency across global data reporting, the Insights dashboards use Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This approach helps ensure uniform reporting for users across different regions and allows for accurate performance tracking and comparisons over time.
Because of this difference in time zone handling, you may occasionally see variations in review counts between the Inbox and the Insights dashboards, especially when reviews are submitted around midnight in your local time. However, all reviews are accounted for and reflected correctly within the system—you’re not missing anything!
