Sharing views between dashboard and report
Overview of the Feature
Navigating between dashboard and report in CXP is now more seamless thanks to shared views functionality. Users can create views on one dashboard and access them from corresponding report, maintaining filter settings and improving contextual continuity.
Benefits of the Feature
-
Enhanced Efficiency: Save time by eliminating the need to recreate filters when switching views.
-
Improved Continuity: Maintain analytical context between dashboards and reports for more consistent insights.
-
Streamlined Workflow: Move between performance metrics and detailed reports without losing applied filters.
Feature Details and Explanations
Cross-Dashboard views
Views created on the following web dashboards now sync with their respective reports:
-
Reviews
-
Sentiment
-
Survey Reviews
-
Survey Statistics
This bi-directional sync ensures that filters saved in views carry over when moving from a dashboard to a report and vice versa.
Goals Dashboard Synchronization
Views also sync between the “Open Goals” and “Closed Goals” dashboards, making it easier to track and compare performance over time.
Views Sharing Exceptions
While views sharing is widely supported, there are a few exceptions:
-
Benchmark Dashboards:
-
The “Overview” dashboard does not support views sharing due to its use of multi-select filters.
-
However, views from Reviews, Sentiment (web), and XLS dashboards can be shared.
-
-
Competitor Dashboards:
-
Multi-Entity “Reviews” and “Sentiment” dashboards are not compatible for views sharing because of differing filter types (single-select vs. multi-select).
-
Views from the “Overview” tab can be shared with reports.
-
For Single-Entity dashboards, full view sharing is supported between dashboards and reports.
-
-
Executive Dashboard:
-
View sharing is not supported.
-
Please note - If a user creates a view and their access scope changes—such as through modified permissions or changes to assigned Entities—the previously saved views may no longer be accessible or functional. This is because view availability is directly tied to a user's current permissions and scope within the platform.
This enhanced view functionality ensures a more consistent and user-friendly experience across CXP’s analytic tools.
