Benefits of marking a review as deleted
Marking a review as deleted helps maintain accurate analytics by removing reviews that are no longer available at their source. This ensures your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the Dashboard reflect only valid reviews. Deleted reviews will not impact your metrics and are clearly labeled in the Inbox for transparency.
How to mark a review as deleted
When you mark a review as deleted, you confirm that the review is no longer available at the source. TrustYou processes this deletion request within minutes. Once the process is complete:
- The review will no longer impact KPIs on the Dashboard.
- The review will appear as "Deleted" in the Inbox.
Please note: If the original review is still available at the source when the deletion request is made, it will reappear in the Inbox as "Unread" and impact KPIs again within 36 hours, therefore you should only mark reviews as deleted after making sure that the original review is removed.
Steps to mark an online review as deleted
- Click the trash icon in the top menu of the review.
- Confirm in the dialog that appears.
Once confirmed:
- The review's status will update to "Marked deleted," indicating it is being removed from analytics. This process may take a few minutes.
- The marked-as-deleted date and the user who performed the action will be displayed.
When the deletion is complete:
- The review's status will change to "Deleted."
- The date of deletion will also be visible.
Visualization in the Inbox overview
- Deleted reviews can be accessed by filtering for "Marked as deleted" or "Deleted" statuses in the filters.
- These reviews will appear greyed out for easy identification.
