History keeps a record of every chat and preset run you have started in Ask TrustYou. Use it to revisit findings, share a past analysis with a colleague, or pick up a conversation where you left off.
Without History, any insight you uncovered in a past chat would be gone. History makes every analysis findable and shareable, so you don't have to redo work, and your team can build on each other's findings.
Finding History
Open the History tab within Ask TrustYou. The list shows all chats associated with your account, including both regular chats and preset runs.
Use the search bar to find a specific chat by title or content. Use the filters to narrow the list by Status, Type, Last interaction date, or Creation date. Filters can be combined.
Your monthly chat usage is shown in the top right corner of the page. Keep an eye on it before reopening Inactive chats, as each one consumes a credit from your monthly allowance. Opening a chat to read it, renaming it, or sharing it is free. See Monthly chat limit for details.
Note: A chat only appears in History once the session has actually started. If a chat is queued due to high system demand, it will not appear in History until the queue clears and the session begins.
What the History Table Shows
Each row in the History table includes:
- Title: The chat name, generated automatically after the first message or renamed manually.
- Status: The current state of the chat (see statuses below).
- Type: Whether the chat was started as a free-form Chat or a Preset run.
- Last interaction: When the most recent message was sent or received.
- Created: When the chat was first started.
Chat Statuses
Every chat has one of four statuses:
- Active: The chat is open and can continue. The AI may still be generating a response in the background.
- Unread: The AI has responded since your last visit. A blue dot appears on the History tab to alert you that something needs your attention.
- Inactive: No new messages were sent for 30 minutes. Your previous messages are still there, and the chat can be continued, but doing so starts a new session and uses one credit from your monthly allowance.
- Closed: The chat has reached its 10-message limit, has been inactive for 14 days, or was manually ended. Closed chats are read-only. You can review the full conversation but cannot send new messages.
Actions Available from History
Open the options menu (⋮) at the end of any row to:
- Open: Return to the chat. Active and Unread chats resume where you left off. Inactive chats start a new session.
- Rename: Give the chat a more descriptive name.
- Share link: Copy a link to the chat that you can send to a colleague. The recipient can view the full conversation as read-only.
- Delete: Permanently remove the chat from your History. This cannot be undone.
Shared Chats
When a colleague shares a chat link with you, you can open it to read the full conversation. Shared chats are always read-only. You cannot send messages or modify them. If you want to explore the same topic yourself, start a new chat with the same data scope.
