Presets are saved analysis templates that let you run recurring analyses with one click. You can use TrustYou's pre-built presets, create your own, or share them with your organization. Each preset contains a prompt and, optionally, variables you fill in when you run it. They are useful for analyses you run regularly, like a weekly complaints recap or a quarterly score report, so you do not have to rewrite the question each time.
Preset Types
- TrustYou presets: Pre-built analyses created by TrustYou. These are read-only and available to all users in your organization.
- Your presets: Analyses you create and manage yourself.
- Organization presets: Analyses created by an organization owner or admin and shared with the whole organization. Anyone can find and run them.
Finding Presets
Open the Presets tab to browse the full library. You can search by name. Use the Filter button to narrow the list by:
- Type: Whether a preset is relevant for Enterprise users, Entity users, or both. Presets marked as Enterprise-only are not shown to single-entity users.
- Created by: Filter between presets built by TrustYou, presets created by your organization, or presets created by you.
- Pinned: Show only the presets you have pinned.
Each preset card shows the name, who created it (TrustYou, your org, or you), and a short description of what the analysis does. A small icon on the card indicates whether the preset is designed for Enterprise users, Entity users, or both.
Running a Preset
You can run a preset from the new chat screen, the homepage, or the full preset library. On each preset card, click Run preset to start it directly. Use the pin icon to pin or unpin the preset. The options menu (⋮) shows actions based on your permissions: if you created the preset, you can edit, share or unshare, duplicate, and delete it. For TrustYou presets and organization presets you did not create, you can only duplicate them.
- If the preset has variables, fill them in first. Variables define the specific parameters for the analysis, such as which brand to analyse or which time period to cover.
- Click Start chat. The AI analyses your reviews and returns the result.
The data scope is set automatically and can't be changed. Ask TrustYou looks back as far as January 1, 2021. It starts with your most recent reviews and goes back until it reaches your plan's review limit or January 1, 2021, whichever comes first. For example, on a Professional plan that supports 100,000 reviews, the scope includes your most recent 100,000 reviews, as long as they're from January 1, 2021, or later. See Dataset for the review limit of each plan.
Each preset run starts a new chat and uses one credit from your monthly allowance.
Note: If a date variable is set to a date outside the pre-set date range, the preset cannot run. A scope returning zero reviews is also blocked.
Creating a Preset
- In the Presets tab, click New preset.
- Enter a Name and a Description. The description appears on the preset card and helps your team understand what the preset does.
- Set the Relevant for field to indicate which users this preset applies to: Enterprise users, Entity users, or Both. This controls who sees the preset in the library. Single-entity users will not see presets marked as Enterprise-only.
- Write the prompt. Ask the AI like you would ask a colleague. For anything that changes each time (a brand, a date, a topic), add a variable using the Insert variable button instead of a fixed value. See Writing preset prompts for tips.
- Click Save.
Presets are private until you share them after creation.
Adding Variables to a Preset
Variables let users fill in specific values each time they run a preset, making it flexible and reusable. Place your cursor in the prompt where you want the variable to appear, then click Insert variable and create a new one or select an existing one.
When creating a variable, choose a name, a type, and optionally a description. You can also mark a variable as Required. If on, the preset cannot be run without filling it in.
Variable types:
- Text: A free-text input.
- Date: A single date picker. To define a time range, add two date variables: one for the start date and one for the end date.
- Single select: A dropdown where the user picks one option. Options can come from Segments, Entities by name, Sentiment categories, or a custom list you define.
- Multi select: Same as Single select, but allows more than one option to be chosen at a time.
- Yes / No question: A toggle.
Pinning Presets
Pinned presets appear as quick-access shortcuts on the Ask TrustYou start screen and on the homepage. Click the pin icon on the preset card to pin or unpin it. Pinned presets are saved per membership, so if you belong to more than one organization, each one has its own independent set of pinned presets.
Sharing a Preset
Presets are private by default. Sharing one makes it available to everyone in your organization as an Organization preset. Only Organization owners and admins can share presets.
To share a preset, open the options menu (⋮) on the preset card and click Share. Once shared, the same menu lets you Unshare it to make it private again.
