Overview
You can create and manage benchmarks in the Organization section of the sidebar. Benchmarks created here are analyzed in the Benchmarks dashboard, helping you compare the performance of your entities with those of your competitors.
In order to analyze the performance of your entities vs the one from your competitors, you need to create a Benchmark. The Benchmarks created here are going to be analyzed in the Benchmarks dashboard.
Benefits
- Flexible organization: Use Benchmark Sets to group and organize benchmarks for better clarity and usability.
- Enhanced accessibility: With appropriate access, share benchmarks organization-wide or create private ones for personal analysis.
- Rule-based and manual setup: Define benchmarks using automated rules or add entities manually for maximum flexibility.
Benchmarks creation: Full Access vs Limited Access
Full Access
If you have Full Access to all entities in your organization, your permissions for Organization Benchmarks depend on your user role:
-
Owners and admins can view and manage all Organization Benchmarks.
-
Editors and read-only users can view, but not manage, these Benchmarks.
All Organization Benchmarks are shared among Full Access users.
In addition to Organization Benchmarks, all Full Access users also have access to the Personal Benchmarks tab, where they can create and manage private Benchmarks that are only visible to them.
Limited Access
If you have Limited Access to a subset of entities in your organization, you can:
-
Create and manage private Benchmarks that are only accessible to you via the Personal Benchmarks tab.
Benchmarks
A Benchmark is a defined comparison between your own entities and competitor entities. Benchmarks allow you to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Creating a Benchmark
- Name your Benchmark: Assign a clear name to identify it later.
- Define comparison rules: Use rule-based systems to group entities based on available segments, such as brands, countries, or cities.
- Add isolated entities: Include specific entities manually if they don’t align with existing rules.
Example: Compare one of your brands with competitors’ brands by applying a rule-based segment or manually adding individual entities.
Benchmark Set
A Benchmark Set is like a folder that groups related Benchmarks for better organization. This feature is only available to users with Full Access to all entities.
Using Benchmark Sets
- If you have Full Access, create or Select Benchmark Sets already available when creating Benchmarks. Use logical names: by brand, by country, or by competitor type.
- For users with Limited Access, all Benchmarks are grouped under the default set "Unassigned"
Example: If you create Benchmarks for various brands in your organization, group them under a Benchmark Set named "By Brand" for streamlined analysis.
